account user's accessibilty to internet
We have 2 user accounts. I am able to access the
internet (AOL) through my user account, but my husband cannot through his user account. Is there a solution? |

Do you mean two accounts on the computer, or two AOL login accounts? If you only have one AOL login, you should have the option to share that Network Connection with all users on the computer. However, if AOL software is dialing the connection for you, it might be trickier to enable this. Since i don't know AOL, someone else will have to help in that course. If you connect manually, meaning you have Windows dial and connect to your AOL account, you should see a dialog window when you connect that shows you "Save this user name and password for the following users:" and below that two or more options. Choose "All users" or whatever is appropriate to include you and your husband. Click Dial to save that setting. Your husband should now be able to access that network connection. If the modem automatically dials when you connect to AOL, you'll need to change the properties of the connection. If you need those details, post again. joe t |
