DHCP CLIENT
Have you just tried to open a command prompt (Start | Run
| cmd), and entering: ipconfig /renew or ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew What are the settings for the network connection? Right- click on My Network Places, and select Properties. Right- click on the Local Area connection, and select Properties. Highlight TCP/IP, and select Properties. It should be set up to "Obtain DNS server address automatically." Also, click on the Advanced button, and tell us what is listed on the DNS tab. You could also provide info on configuration by "iconfig /all c:\ipconfig.txt", and forwarding contents of this file. Thanks, Jack -----Original Message----- My computer has to have DHCP client service uninstalled and reinstalled every time i biit up to access the internet It willl not get an IP address without doing this brand new comoputer . |
