Where did the Network Adapter Icon go???
My cable internet connection is working fine, but Network Connections shows
no Icon. It was there, but has dissapeared! If I right click on Network Connections window, and select refresh, I get the following message: ""The Network Connections folder was unable to retrieve the list of network adapters on your machine. Make sure Network Connections service is enabled and running."" I checked that, and it is running, but still no network icons. I have also tried the Create a new connection wizard, but it tells me that my internet connection is already established. Any ideas??? Using SP2. Thanks! |

Where did the Network Adapter Icon go???
Greetings,
If you don't see a Local Area Connection icon this is usually a driver problem. Try uninstalling then reinstalling the network adapter to see if it comes back. If it doesn't, then download the latest compatible drivers for the network adapter from the manufacturer's website. ________________ Eric Cross Microsoft MVP (Windows Networking) http://mvp.support.microsoft.com "N6XB" wrote in message ...
