Default Random mouse movements

Just wondering if anyone can help me out. I've got an optical mouse, and
occassionally it will move itself to one of either the four corners or half
way between two corners. I'm just wondering if anyone could advise me of a
way to rectify this?

Default Random mouse movements

Does this only occur in Word or similar?
I recall a setting option (somewhere) that makes the mouse cursor to move
away from text being typed. Can't remember exactly where it is, could be
mouse driver advanced, or a Windows Tweak utility prog. If you want to
rectify that setting, change it in the utility that runs it.
Hope this helps -- Len
