System Restore Points
We have a custom application that runs on Windows XP. Would would like to use
the Restore Point feature of the operating system for our field service personnel. Is it possible to edit the Filelist.xml file to add the appropriate file extensions for our application so it can be monitored by the Restore Point feature of the OS? I did not find much information on the MSDN web site about the list other than the actual list of files that are contained in the file. Thanks Stephen Funari |

Hi Stephen,
I have not attempted to edit Filelist.xml, but MS advises against it. -- Regards, Bert Kinney MS-MVP Shell/User http://bertk.mvps.org stephenfunari wrote: We have a custom application that runs on Windows XP. Thanks for responding back Bert,
Do you know the reasoning behind the answer from them? Thanks, Steve "Bert Kinney" wrote: Hi Stephen, I have not attempted to edit Filelist.xml, but MS advises against it. -- Regards, Bert Kinney MS-MVP Shell/User http://bertk.mvps.org stephenfunari wrote: We have a custom application that runs on Windows XP.
