ASP Works locally not over network
I have IIS 6 and XP Pro.
I created an asp page in my C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\MyWeb folder and it works fine from my pc if I type http://MyPCName/MyWeb, but not from another pc on the network - the browser times out no error message. How to I allow other users on the network to access the asp files on my pc? Do I need to share the MyWeb folder, the Inetpub folder, My Computer? What is web sharing? I don't want external access at the time, but maybe later. I was able to Ping MyComputerName from another pc and got an IP address. |
