Default Streaming a WMCE recording to an XPP machine

I want to view a Media Centre TV recording streamed from my desktop to my
laptop which has XP Professional installed. I cannot get any sound although
the picture is good. Other files (mpg, avi) have sound OK. Where can I find
what I assume is the sound codec that XPP needs to hear .dvr-ms files?

TIA
