Default get rid of messenger 4.7

-----Original Message-----
I want to get rid of 4.7 and cant. How do I go about
getting rid of this? I dont want or need 2 messengers
running or being able to run. I have 5.0 and I can not
find on XP a way to get rid of this one. Any help or
ideas?
Thanks Jerry
.
Hi Jerry, I assume you have MSN Messenger #5.0 and

Windows Messenger #4.7. If this is the case, go to
add/remove programs in the control panel (In your start
menu) and along the left side you will see "Add/Remove
Windows Components". Click that, and near the bottom you
will see Windows messenger check marked. Simply uncheck
it. Hit apply and it should be gone. Hope this
helped..Doug.
