Start ....Run... type the word msconfig and look under startup items... If
you can identify the realplayer in there, uncheck it.. You will get a
warning about changing, just read what is presented and then log out of
msconfig..Also look thru realPlayer application to see if you can disable
the Start of it in there. As to the Weather Channel; i have no idea why
that starts-up when you log on..

MSConfig lets you disable autostarts. Start - Run - "msconfig" - Startup tab.

If you get tired of disabling stuff after it self-installs, get Startup Monitor
(free) from http://www.mlin.net/. And his Startup Control Panel (free) beats
MSConfig.

And Jeffrey, please don't contribute to the spread, and success, of email
address mining viruses. Learn to munge your email address properly, to keep
yourself a bit safer when posting to open forums. Protect yourself and the rest
of the internet - never post your address unmunged.

Go into their individual setup menus and disable their resident portions.
