Printer Problems
Off hand I don't know why it would stop, but you can set
the service to re-start. I'm not sure which service provides the lanman service, but I would assume it is the Server or the NT LM Security Support Provider service. Right-click on My Computer, and select Manage. Expand Services and Applications, and click on Services. Right- click on the appropriate service, and select Properties. On the Recovery tab, tell the system to Restart the service for all failures listed (first, second, and subsequent). The only way you'll find out what is causing the problem in the first place is to examine the event logs. If you could forward specific information about what is happening when the service stops, that would let us help more. Hope this helps. Thanks, Jack -----Original Message----- I have encountered a problem with my network printing machine: During the day the lanman server will stop running and all of my network connections on the printing computer will die. Why does the lanman service stop running? . |
