Default disk defrag

I don't know how it came because I never knowingly accepted it, but I got a
Disk Keeper program for defrag on my XP system. I used it once or twice and
now I can't find my default builtin disk defrag. I went to the install as
described in Tyfaerer's 7/19 post but it will not work. @ C:\Windows\Inf
there was only a "dfrg" file and "dfrg.RNF". Did right click and install on
the "dfrg" file and all it did was restore the disk defrag icon in
accessories - tools. When I click on it all I get is a message saying
"Diskeeper failed to connect to the service. The service may have stopped.
See the Windows Event Log for more details." I'm getting lost - HELP! All I
want is my windows builtin defrag back.

Joey

Uninstall Diskeeper through Add/ Remove Peograms -Start Control Panel,
Add/Remove Programs.

Then follow the procedure described in this Article:
Disk Defragmenter does not work on a Windows XP-based computer

Hope this helps.
