XP SP2 IS THE WORST THING EVER
I spent the night on the phone to Micro$oft for them to just fob me
off with almost (not our problem!) answers. They got me to install SP2 twice and take it off twice and yet it still does not work. All it does is reboot my machine after the welcome note comes up, if Micro$oft think that this is sufficient then they should be very much mistaken. They really do need to test these things properly before putting them into the population. I am now thinking of not even bothering as it is more bother than it is worth. If there is any permenant problems which have now been caused through there inadequate experienced staff, they will see a law suit hitting their doorstep very shortly, or they will be required to get one of their "very experienced" techie guys to sort out the problem, as I am an IT manager and I have know idea what these cretins have concocted. I was amazed by the fob offs saying that it was not there problem it must be another program which is causing it, however I was only installing SP2 everything else worked before. All Micro$oft want is a monopoly and do not care about there users and that they may have non micro$oft software aswell on their machine. Well I stick two fingers up at Micro$oft and will not be installing SP2 until they have a finished piece of work |

XP SP2 IS THE WORST THING EVER
Hi:
Can understand your frustration and I am not a MS fan neither. But it is my experience that many IT managers or so-called technical experts cannot figure out where seems to be the problems and causes (needless to say solutions, of course) but can do one great job - complaining :-) Thanks for that so I have become more and more knowledgeable on technologies :-) Best wishes. ---- Business executive who believes technology but don't want to be messed around. You cannot spell. You cannot create a grammatically correct sentence. You
cannot follow the basic instructions for installing SP2. Your computer is not properly maintained...and you say Microsoft produced an unfinished piece of work? Then you try to pass yourself off as an IT person? Let's review... 1. Can't spell. 2. Doesn't know the difference between "know" and "no" (i.e. I have know idea). 3. Lies about being an IT manager (a real IT person would have backed up *BEFORE* undertaking any service pack. 4. Cannot even muster up a decent rebuttal when slammed. I agree with anonymous...You are in serious need of a life... BTW, does it hurt walking around with that huge "L" stuck to your forehead? Bobby "Wayne" wrote in message om... You cannot spell. You cannot create a grammatically correct sentence. How well can you do either - say, in Russian? The OP has English as his native language. BTW, I am fluent in 3 languages.
How many languages are you fluent in? Bobby "cquirke (MVP Win9x)" wrote in message ... On Wed, 22 Sep 2004 02:31:45 -1000, "NoNoBadDog!" You cannot spell. You can't even spell "I have know idea [/sic/]" means you do because the word "know" means "to have knowledge of". So, you blamed MS for the problems instead of doing what you should have done and PREPARED YOUR SYSTEM(S) BEFORE INSTALLATION!! I hope your boss reads this and fires you on the spot! Fail to prepare - prepare to fail. You didn't follow the Six Step Plan, you just ploughed on in and installed, didn't you?! 1) Defrag the hard drive(s) 2) Run a systemwide virus scan 3) Run a systemwide spyware scan 4) Update all your drivers 5) Update your software 6) Turn off AVP before installation. Not MS's problem if you have no common sense! Or just no sense, full stop! -- My great-grandfather was born and raised in Elgin - did he eventually lose his marbles? |

XP SP2 IS THE WORST THING EVER
Whose 6 point plans are these? Where are they stated on Microsoft's website? if these are prerequisites then M$ should explicitly say so. This f*u*c*k keeps bashing everybody around but knows nothing or contributes nothing. There is no point in defending SP2 when MS has implicitly accepted that SP2 may not be appropriate for everybody. They have issued a tool to stop it from installing itself via auto-update mechanism. Why would anyone spend time in developing tools just to counterits own patch? Miss Tick, have you had a patch of SP2 applied to your b*o*o*b*s? Are you good at Monica Lewinski position then?
