You putrid ****s always are barfing if it ain't linux. Lienux sucks big time. Have you ever actually used Linux ? []'s Yes, I purchased RedHat with 1 year phone support. It lasted about 6 months before it barfed and wouldn't boot. Linux ****ed up? YOU'RE A FILTHY LIAR!! Seriously though, I'm not even slightly surprised. It was working pretty good, till one day it just failed to boot... it just sat there frozen in its tracks. (???) Typical Linux garbage. I would still trust a commercial operating system a lot more than one built by a bunch of unemployed fat guys with a complete lack of social skills and poor hygiene. From a privacy perspective, I trust the stinky fat guy a lot more than I do a commercial enterprise, but I'm not sure that I should: an open-sore project where no one is willing to take credit for the garbage is less likely to be sued than a corporation which stands by its product if ever humongous security problems arise. Oracle has improved it a bunch. Lets face it, there isn't any os secure enough to guarantee privacy. The rest of the linux loons are still in denial and will be for a very long time. Off the beaten path, I found a site that is rather unique. www.whatdoesitmean.com Seems to explain things a bit better in the realm of geopolitics. You might find it highly revealing. I'll probably take a look at it. I'm not the most proficient in all things political but I know my way around either way. -- Slimer |

Is this common or specific to your hardware? Fairly common from what I read. And it has shown up on a Yoga 2 Pro, SurfacePro2 and HP AIO desktop at times. Not always the same time though. Every time I have the issue non-Windows boxes don't have a problem. -- Lloyd |

Why aren't you off building your little communist utopia for mental midgets like yourself, "mike"? Maybe if you actually read what you were objecting to, there'd be less confusion. Announcing that you didn't read it is consistent with closed-minded linux defenders of the chaos. So what are you going to do about it, Mike? How are you going to put the Genie back into the bottle? Well, that is the issue isn't it. Yes, how do you get people to surrender their freedom once it has been granted? I think of Genie as a benevolent creature who grants your wishes. That's because your thinking is based on American TV's "I Dream of Jeannie." The reality is the Jen are demons bound to vessels by the Keys of Solomon, and their "job" is to torment their "masters." This is more like a parasite that sucks the life out of the victim, Giving you free software is like a parasite? but leaves it 1.5% alive so it can continue to suck the life out. I see you're trying to tie your analogy to desktop share, but that doesn't make it sensible, or even coherent. There oughta be a mythological creature that would make a better mascot. The world awaits your creation. Frankly, I don't think there is a magic genie who will come along and fix it. Once the fervor over privacy dies down and joe average goes back into complacency mode, desktop linux will have missed possibly its last chance to take a bite outa M$ on the desktop. You seem to think you have all the answers. Where's your distro that does all the things you want? It's good to have a hobby for when I'm bored. It's a great hobby, and it's free as in beer. The US Navy thinks it's such a great "hobby" they run their ships with it. I shall keep advocating for success of desktop linux and use it where it makes sense. It's a thankless job, but somebody's gotta do it. I'm not seeing anybody else with a plan. Apathy is not a plan. ****ing and moaning isn't a job. |
