Turn off Automatically Restart
-----Original Message----- In order to identify a driver that is causing crashes, it has been recommended that Automatically Restart be turned off. Despite the fact that Windows says that it cannot identify the errant driver, the idea is that the "blue screen" WILL be able to identify it. I would give worlds to know exactly which driver is causing these crashes. My concern is what, exactly, would I be faced with if Windows did not automatically restart? Would I have to go to the F8 emergency start procedure? Just hit the "power off" button? Additionally, suppossing that I did know the identity of the faulty driver, how would I then "replace" it? Thanks so much. .I cant help with the drive issue but I have had auto restart disabled for some time now |

Turn off Automatically Restart
If you have auto restart disabled, have you had a crash and had to
"manually" restart? My computer doesn't even have a power off switch, come to think of it. I would have to pull the plug from the wall if I couldn't use Windows to shut down. That happened once when the computer "froze." wrote in message ... -----Original Message----- In order to identify a driver that is causing crashes, it has been recommended that Automatically Restart be turned off.
