I was looking for some hotfix and end up at this page ---

Surprise, surprise !!

"Windows XP x86 SP4" !!

Is there really a XP SP4 somewhere?? o0

Default XP SP 4 ??

There is no SP4 and MS isn't presently planning on one. I believe they identify
any post-SP3 hotfix as an SP4 candidate for info only.

Post-SP updates can have identifying features that point to the next Service
Pack in line. A lot of the pre-SP3 updates mentioned SP3 in their
descriptions, etc.

Essentially - not saying there will not be an SP4 - since there are 4+ years
left of support (patch availability) for Windows XP - but with two operating
systems released now to replace it - I'd hope for a rollup at best.
