I'm at a bit of a loss but
would appreciate 2 pieces of advice:-
snip
1. A good testing program that will check everything is functioning
properly.

Run a few cycles of "memtest86" (download from
http://www.memtest86.com) to check out your memory.
You should get zero errors. Then --

Run a full set of hardware diagnostics. ("diag378.exe",
downloadable from ftp://ftp1.dell.com/diags, after a few
complaints, will run on most non-Dell computers.)
You should get zero errors.

you have no idea, nevermind.

The typical lamer reply, and "nevermind" is another definition of a
top posting ****, such as yourself!

Do you gimps ever answer any questions or just spend your days and
nights trying to be funny on here?

Another pot noodle and a wank tonight for you lot I presume?

The first reply you got (from K-Man) told you what you needed to do, instead,
you try to lame him. You really don't deserve to get help.

Help at last. Thanks!

I have tried memtest86 and let it run for a bit, all seemed ok. I
have heard about incompatibility between generic RAM and certain
motherboards, does this sound realistic & would memtest86 pick this
up?

It's hilarious when ****wits who don't know what they are doing post
questions intended to lead the respondent into giving the poster only the
answer they want to hear. Oh, well. Mux Crappin did his dash. Maybe some
superhero MVP will come to his rescue.

It is, sad, I've seen them do it, and it's not just confined to here.
It's a blood rush from seeing something they least expect.
Knee jerk reaction. Pride, ****ing with them.
MVP to the rescue?
