Default Western Digital

I'm trying to install a Western Digital hard drive using
the diagnostic disk. When coping the original drive over
to the new one, I get an NT error that says I can only use
8.5 gig partitions. When I do the copy, the drive only
shows the same size as the old one. The remaining space
is lost. Appreciate any help that anyone can give.
