Default Viewing window setup

Hello all,

I hope someone can help me out here. My computer
was "optimized" by Best Buy but it looks like the turned
off something I wanted. If you go to
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/p...howto/customiz
e/overview/desktop.asp and look at the window example you
see on the left hand side pane you see menus that you can
you can utilize for activities to perform on items in the
right hand side pane. Well, my left hand side pain has
been turned off and I would like to know how to turn it
on. I can't get to anybody at Sony or MS so I am really
hoping someone out there can help, it would be very much
appreciated. Thank you.
