I want to uninstall a program from W7 Ultimate. It is not in the list

Thanks

Rodger,

You haven't provided enough information to assist you. What program is it.
It may just be an executable file that doesn't require installation. In that
case you can just delete the program file. But, having said that, without
additional information, it's impossible to really tell.

The best way to determine how to uninstall a program is visit the
software publisher's site and check their recommendation. Some will
provide a special uninstaller utilized by many AV companies.

Or, where some adware or spamware was surreptitiously installed and
seems difficult to uninstall, I put the information into a search engine
with some keywords about it, including the OS. Usually, there will many
hits of how to get rid of it.

In addition to what others have said, if the software
has an uninstaller you may find it in the program folder,
even though it somehow fails to show up in the
Add/Remove window. (For a program to show there it
must add required Registry keys and be sure to include
specific values. Windows doesn't have any direct role in
that. You could have honest, decent software that
just doesn't have a very good installer.)

Some types of installers use a common file, typically
kept in the Windows folder. Others have the uninstall
EXE in the program folder. If it's in the program folder
you can just run the uninstall from there yourself. In
that case you'll be looking for something named
uninstall.exe, uninst.exe, unwise.exe, etc. Firefox has
a folder named Uninstall with helper.exe inside....
Those are typical examples.

Simply go to Windows Explorer and delete it from there.

There is an application called Revo Uninstaller Pro.
Okay, you have to pay for it, but it helped me out in a few occasions.
I purchased it and it was really helpful. It removed a few applications
which I wasn't able to uninstall.

The free version does the same.
The pro version monitors an install so it knows what was installed.

KenW

Not exactly; the free version is not fully compatible with Windows7
64Bit. See the following link for a full list of Free vs Paid.
