The latter half certainly is; we don't have anything we call "parkways" as a general thing, though I know of at least one road called Parkway (through Chelmsford, Essex). There are several railway stations called Parkway (Tiverton Bristol and Didcot spring to mind). It implies that the station isn't that near the town!
