Default BSOD when trying to do offline defrag of system files withPerfectDisk 8

Running XP Pro SP3. Trying to do an offline defrag of system files which I've done in the past without issue but now am either betting a BSOD or a screen saying it can't gain exclusive access to the C:\ drive, might be a driver conflict.

Any idea why this is happening?

Thanks

I don't know why this happens, but have you tried a defrag in Safe Mode?

Tried it, Perfectdisk won't run in Safe Mode.
