Default DVD Won't Autorun on TV Player

I have exhausted authoring programs,burner programs,media,file conversions
and 2 different drives and cannot get any of my DVD's to autorun on my Sanyo
TV player. Also when I try to run on my PC,autorun always brings up the
windows explorer window showing file structure and will not allow me to
start a player or even give me a choice of a player.Several of the files
have my player icon attached and I can double click the file and it launches
my player and runs the video OK.

Commercial disks run fine on both players and always run and bring up the
initial disk menu.I like to use Nero 6 Express and this has worked in the
past but since I built a new bare bones PC Nero Express doesn't work.As I
have exhausted all else it must be a Win XP issue??I don't even know where
to start on this one.If I knew what the palyer needs to autorun then I could
find what config parameter I am missing.

I use XP Pro SP3,a Pentium 2.3 processor,3GB of RAM,Sony DRU-V200A and
various DVD-R media.

Please help before I go broke on media.

Thanls in advance.
Bob

To create a DVD with NERO you need NeroVision
and it is not included in the Experess version of Nero.

Try the following freebie:
(scroll down for instructions)

DVD Flick
http://www.dvdflick.net/

Be sure to read the Guide:
http://www.dvdflick.net/guide.php

If you have problems downloading DVD Flick...
try the following direct link:
http://tinyurl.com/bvtfza
or...
http://voxel.dl.sourceforge.net/sour...up_1.3.0.6.exe

Save the file to a folder on your hard drive and
install from there.

Tutorials:

DVD Flick Tutorial

Burn Any PC Video Format into DVD
http://www.freevideoworkshop.com/dvdflicktutorial.htm

To create a basic Video DVD that should play in a free
standing DVD player...try the following...

Good luck.

First...read the DVD Flick Guide to familiarize yourself
with the program.

Open DVD Flick and insert a blank DVD in your burner.

If your computer's Autoplay window opens....just close it.

Click the Project Settings button and go to...Video /
Target format...residents of USA...choose...NTSC /
Accept.

Left click the Add title button and browse to your
Movie Clips and select the ones you want on the DVD.

You can arrange them by selecting one and then use
the Move Up and Move Down buttons.

Left click the Create DVD button / OK / Yes / Yes.

Wait while the DVD is created.

When the text "Finished Successfully" appears you
may close DVD Flick. Now you can eject your DVD
and play it in your DVD player.

At some point you may wish to purchase more
advanced software like Cyberlink, Nero, Roxio,
Ulead, etc...but at least this is a start.

Good luck.

Default DVD Won't Autorun on TV Player

Hello John,

I tried DVD Flick and the results were the same on my Sanyo TV player.I did
fix my PC,now autorun works and I choose Win Med Player from the autorun
menu and can watch the video.

I did find and install Nerovision and burned a disk, the results were the
same,no autorun on the TV player.

Any more suggestions? This has me really baffled.

Some free standing DVD players will not
play a home made DVD...apparently you
have one of them.

Well I gave in,took advice and bought a Divx player by Phillips and it plays
everything.I ran my DVD boneyard through it and it played them all.

My Sanyo said it played everything but it lied.

Have burned several new ones with Nerovision Express and they work
perfectly.

Thanks for all the advice and help.
