How to reinstall TCP/IP
I'm using XP Home. An update killed my connectivity. NOTE: It was NOT any
of the recently-blamed updates! I removed all updates. No joy. I'd like to uninstall TCP/IP and reinstall it. How do I do that? -- : )))) Something's Fishy Around Here |

How to reinstall TCP/IP
You can't un/re install TCP/IP as it is considering an integral part of
Windows XP. You can however try a reset, although a quick look over the messages posted so far in this group suggest that it doesn't help much Open up a command prompt window, and type "netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt" without the quotes. This will create a log file of the process on the root of your C drive. N.B. You HAVE to create a log file - or the program will NOT run. |
