I found it in msconfig under start-yp and unchecked it. I guess I could also delete the key in the registry but I wasn't sure if it was safe or not. Sorry yea, I should have been more clear, its under startup tab. Its safe to
tick / untick anything in there as nothing in there is essential, and can be changed back if you prefer. removing the entry from the registry isn't that important as long as its now inactive.
