Disable Options button on Log On to Windows screen
Hi
Newly setting up a 2003 domain with xp pro workstations. Is there a way to disable the options button on the logon screen to prevent users from being able to select a different domain or the local machine, and force them to use username@domain as their user name? I tried the ShowLogonOptions but this seems to still leave the options button enabled. Or failing that can I remove both the Log on to: text box and Log on using dial-up connection option? TIA. FANTASTIC!! Thanks, over a day I spent trying to find something to do that. Where/how did you find that entry, is there a book, website? URL may wrap, title too. The Essentials of Replacing the Microsoft Graphical Identification and Authentication DLL (MSGINA DLL) http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...115/msgina.doc Many thanks again. UR welcome! Pete. -----Original Message----- Try HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon Reg DWORD NoDomainUI Value = 1 in combination with ShowLogonOptions. This may be available only on Windows 2000 specific. -----Original Message----- Hi Newly setting up a 2003 domain with xp pro workstations.
