Default SP2 -Operating System Not Found

Hello.
I installed SP2 on my home computer last weekend. Rebooted
a couple times after that - all seemed good. Turned the
computer on last night, and now I am getting "Operating
System Not Found". I tried to load the recovery software,
but then I get the error "Unable to locate harddrive".

Is it possible this is caused by SP2? And if so - is
there anything I can do short of getting a new hard drive?

Thank you!
Carol
