How can I fix my broken WindowsXP file shaing?
Everything works over the wired (no wireless) LAN except one station's file
sharing. It never completes the "setting folder permissions" task. I can not "see" and modify files on the errant station from the others, and, in fact, it doesn't allow itself to be accessed though it is identified via workgroup computers. However, it can access, both read and write the other station, use the internet via the LAN, access other local network resources, e.g. printer and NAS, but it can't share its resources. Is it possible to "rip out and replace" the defective Windows Networking, or whatevere, feature that's causing this problem? |
