Default need help with windows messenger

With router in place Audio does not work.

I have a 4 port linksys router (v2 software) and it does not allow messenger audio to function. We request audio conversations, but no audio is transmitted either way.

When I bypass the router, Messenger works as it should. Audio is fine. My router is a BEFSR41 (version 2). at the july 2003 (current latest software level).

Their newer wireless router works just fine with messenger and audio, so it is either in the microcode or in some settings for passthrough.

Does anyone know what tcp/ip port numbers are used for audio? Or the settings for this version 2 router.
