Default WLAN Problem

Hi there,

i managed to move from my old HP 8540W workstation to a newer 8570w type
by simply plugging the old harddisk into the newer system and installing
additional drivers.

Everything works fine excepting the WLAN connection.

The gateway can't be reached by the WLAN, identification is correct and
DHCP shows the same result as when using fixed IP addresses: No gateway.

The gateway can be reached when using the LAN port _and_ : the gateway
can be reached when both connections (LAN&WLAN) are used in parallel.
The diagnostic software shows no errors in this case.

All other devices (smartphone, printer, tablet etc.) have no problem
connecting the access point (TL-WR841ND).

So there must be some internal WIN 7 problem concerning the gateway
access. The drivers have been unistalled before reinstalling them.

Any suggestions?

Thanks - Udo

I do not know if this applies to your computer, but some HP computers
had a white list for the wireless cards. Unless the computer bios saw
the correct HP card, it would not connect. I bought a replacement card
of the same part number but not HP, and it would not connect.

I had a similar problem once, couldn't sort it out, all of the settings
looked correct. The only thing I could find that worked was deleting the
wireless adapter from the Device Manager and letting Windows reinstall
the device when rebooting.

Default WLAN Problem

Hi ,-

the problem ist not yet solved..

I have a new installation that connects both (LAN & WLAN) without a problem.

The old installation (with all my software installed and all
configuration data) now refuses to connect to any source.

The diagnosis telles that the IP-stack cannot not be bound to these
adapters.

Now i am searching for a solution to repair the network connections.

Thanks - Udo
