Yes - you can - there are a few methods. Start-RUN- Control userpasswords2 uncheck the Appropriate box. TweakUI to set the autologon up. Registry editing to change the autologon setting. -- - Shenan - -- The information is provided "as is", it is suggested you research for yourself before you take any advice - you are the one ultimately responsible for your actions/problems/solutions. 1. At a command prompt, type "control userpasswords2" and press Enter to =
open the Windows 2000-style User Accounts application. 2. On the Users tab, highlight the user that you want automatically = logged on. 3. Clear the Users Must Enter A User Name And Password To Use This = Computer check box and then click OK. 4. In the Automatically Log On dialog box that appears, type the user = name and password for the account you want to be logged on each time you = start your computer. --=20 Doug Knox, MS-MVP Windows Media Center\Windows Powered Smart Display Win 95/98/Me/XP Tweaks and Fixes http://www.dougknox.com -------------------------------- Per user Group Policy Restrictions for XP Home and XP Pro http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/xp_securityconsole.htm -------------------------------- Please reply only to the newsgroup so all may benefit.
