Hello,
I don't like the backgrounds of Windows7 at all. I would like to have one
one consisting of one solid color, a light shade of gray for example, but I
don't havr been able to realize that. Can anyone poit me in the right
direction please?

Hi, Fritz.

You can go into Control Panel, select Personalization, and down near the
bottom you will find Basic and High Contrast Themes. Choose one of
these. After one of them is chosen, you can click below it on Desktop
Background which will bring up a colour palette. You can then select, or
set, a preferred background colour from there.

Why Because you can have any colour or background that you want just as
with any other windows. (Plus auot changing slide show From one of you
image folders)

Hi, Trev.

Yep! I'm not a big fan of backgrounds, wallpapers, etc. I just want to get
on with my work -and find a background that doesn't interfere too much with
seeing the icons on my desktop.

So I found one of my own photos in My Pictures and set it as my wallpaper.
Now, every morning my monitor greets me with the view of Holson Creek, with
Cavanal Hill in the distance, that I took from the top of Goats Bluff, near
the community of Summerfield, Oklahoma, where I grew up in the edge of the
Ouachita National Forest. It brings back happy memories every time it
appears. I suspect that no other computer in the world has THAT wallpaper!
;)

Yeah, I know, I had that one in my old Win 95 :-PPP
I mean, I could have had it, anyway.
