Default Epson printer; xphome; jobs stuck in queue

After printing a job, the job remains in the print queue.
Can't delete, remains in queue, prevents other jobs from
running. Power down is the cure. Anybody? Thanks.

Uninstall and reinstall the printer... CORRECTLY. Something is corrupted in
there.
