Default Wired & Wireless Network

Having a difficult time trying get my pc which has XP SP3 (Ethernet) and my
laptop Vista Home Premium (wireless) to see each other. I'm new to networks
& routers. I have Verizon FiOS, the router is an Actiontec M1424-WR Rev E.
Using 'Connective Doctor' in vista, the LAN which is the Ethernet has a red
X and shows disconnected. It reports a network cable is unplugged, I know it
is not. The wireless LAN shows connected. I have no problem connecting to
the Internet from either, I just can't get both computers to see each other.

It has to be the way I have it configured. If anyone can give me advise on
how to config a Home Network it would be appreciated.
