microsoft patch
I keep getting a "microsoft" download patch immediately
msg in my outlook express. It blocks all other messages coming into my email. It also is sent 3 to 6 times a day. How do i get rid of this without changing my email address. if I sign into "get email" account I can delete it there and the rest of the messages then can be downloaded into outlook express. Is there a message blocker in Get email? frustrated |

Is there an attachment on the Email?
This has been around a short while. The attachment is most likely a virus. Delete the Email and attachment immediately. http://www.microsoft.com/technet/tre...patch_hoax.asp http://www.microsoft.com/technet/tre...icy/swdist.asp Microsoft sends security updates but NEVER with attachments. On the rare occasion Microsoft sends a file, you would be expecting it in advance and know exactly what it is. Install an antivirus application. Update your antivirus weekly. Run it weekly. Install or enable a firewall: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=283673 Go to Outlook Express, click the "Help" tab. Search for "Rules" for ways to configure outlook Express. -- Jupiter Jones [MVP] An easier way to read newsgroup messages: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/p...oups/setup.asp http://dts-l.org/index.html wrote in message ...
