"My Documents" duplicated
Hi,
I’m running Windows 7 and I discover that “My Documents” (and some other sub-directories) are located (duplicated) in three different locations: Desktop/Libraries/Documents Desktop/Jerry/My Documents Computer/OS(C)/Users/Jerry/My Documents Where should they be? Thanks, Geri |

Thanks, Geri That is the way Win7 does things and is not an error. Unlike XP...Win7 uses "libraries" http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/w...ures/libraries |

The files are in a single place; the others are simply pointers to it. |

They should be where you put them. You can designate any directory you like as the location of the "My Documents" folder (mine is G:\stevedoc) and you can add that, and several other directories to the "Documents" Library. -- Steve Hayes from Tshwane, South Africa Web: http://www.khanya.org.za/stevesig.htm Blog: http://khanya.wordpress.com E-mail - see web page, or parse: shayes at dunelm full stop org full stop uk |
