Joined OE Newsgroup but deleted husband's mail
Everybody! The box by "Empty items from the deleted items folder on exit"
is not checked, was not checked....ever.......... Iolo was able to open the file "Identities under Application Data, however, even though IOLO found Folders dbx and inbox dbx....when I went to this identities folder it said zero files, 0 folders. Maybe security issue? ANybody know how to open this "identities" folder and see the Outlook Express stuff?How is it Iolo sees stuff in it and I can't? Couple of things to try
(1) Check that you're checking the right "Deleted Items" folder. You may have more than one in your list of folders. (2) If you can also access your email via the web ie by logging on to the relevant website (eg hotmail.com for a hotmail account etc) then try accessing the mail account in that way, to see what you may be able to retrieve Jon wrote in message ... Hello Carey..Well your tech support told me that adding a newsgroup in O.E.
does set up a daily trash-take out..It does empty the "deleted items folder" and they said it does it as a regular part of it's setup. DO you know about this? What numbskull "stores" emails in the Deleted Items folder? Sheeesh! And joining a newsgroup should have NO effect on any mail folders AT ALL so I don't quite know what you did.
