Default Second USB key plugged un-recongnized

Hi all,

Here's the pb :

I plug an USB key : It's detected, and the drive appears.

I plug a second USB Key : It's detected, and NO drive appears ! (??)

I reproduced this problem on multiples Win XP systems...
I tried on a 2K sys, works fine.
Didn't find yet any information relating this in the registry.

Any suggestions ?
Thanks in advance !

Hi,

Are they of the same type of USB key?
If yes:
Can you see the other USB key in the device manager?
If yes:
Go to disk management to assign a drive letter to the 2nd USB key.

Pls post back to NG for the outcome.

Hope it helps.

Peter

Hi,

Thanks for the idea !

In fact, the first key was taking the F drive letter.
The second one took the G letter.

What Windows did not see, is that the G drive letter was already used
by a network mapped drive.

Changing the driver letter for the second key worekd fine !

What's "NG" ?
