Default Windows XP security update

Christy,
I got the same message and I just get the feeling this is
not legitimate with the title as listed it is not in the
recommended list of updates at the microsoft updates page
and the fact that it said at the bottom "please do not
respond to this message it was sent from and unmonitored
e-mail address and we are unable to respond to any
replies". So anyway i don't recommend it because I feel
very uncomfortable with it's implications.
Just my thought on this one.

I'm not sure if anyone can help. I was sent a message by
Microsoft about updating my security for Windows XP to
the April 2003 Cumulative Patch. It said to install the
update all I had to do was click on the attachment with
the email. The problem is it didn't seem to have an
attachment but I did get a message saying Norton
Antivirus had quarantined an attachment that I had
received. Does anyone know how I can get the attachment
back or how to get another security update sent to me?
.

Kathy,
You used good sense.
There are many of these bogus emails going around=20
attempting to penetrate/infect machines.
Only get patches for XP directly from MS at their=20
website or via Windows Update. A patch for XP=20
from any other source is bogus.
