Default Lost password for Microsoft Network

Sorry. I omitted from the sentance in line 3 "problem is
that I have lost the password to the M/S win
98 machine" the words "networking on" after above "M/S".
The computer itself has no password.

-----Original Message-----
I'm attempting to finish installing a local network
between Win XP and a second computer using Win 98. The
problem is that I have lost the password to the M/S win
98 machine from an earlier unsuccessful attempt when I
had Win Me and was using a propriety installation system
which, for me, was not as easy as Win XP has proved.

I'm
getting packets between the two computers but can't
change password. The two relavent KB articles assume a
known password. Could anyone help on how to end the
password delemma, please?
.
