You could use a boot disk but bear in mind that, if any of your hard drives are NTFS formatted then you will not be able to execute any commands nor read the contents as DOS doesn't recognise NTFS. -- Perdita X. WindowsXP GUI
Hey Steve
You could try changing the shell string in the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon from explorer.exe to your programs path and executable. -- Mark "Steve" wrote in message ... As Mark suggested, change the Shell value to CMD.EXE That will open a
command prompt window on the logon screen, with a blank desktop, no start menu and no taskbar. -- Doug Knox, MS-MVP Windows XP/ Windows Smart Display Win 95/98/Me/XP Tweaks and Fixes http://www.dougknox.com -------------------------------- Associate Expert ExpertZone - http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone -------------------------------- Please reply only to the newsgroup so all may benefit.
