Default Script Error from Control Panel User Accounts

Hi all:

I just recently upgraded - about a month ago - to Windows XP. The
program is up to date with all Service Packs and security fixes. For
the last couple of days I've been working with user accounts and a
problem has cropped up. When I click on Control Panel then User
Accounts an Internet Explorer Script Error window pops up with the
following message:

! An error has occured in the script on this page.

Line: 4
Char: 1
Error: Access is denied
Code: 0
URL: res://C:WINDOWS\system32\nusrmgr.cpl/nusrmgr.hta

It's only the Control Panel User Accounts action that causes this
error. After closing the Script Error window things seem to work
properly, though at some point McAfee Antiviurs pops up and says:

A suspicious script has been detected!

the file mshta.exe contains suspicious scripting activity and has been
stopped.

Searching for "mshta.exe" doesn't turn up much in the newgroup and what
there is seems to be a couple of years old.

Does anyone have an idea what's causing this problem, and how to fix
it?

TIA.

Tom Young

Default Script Error from Control Panel User Accounts

mshta.exe is located in the WINDOWS\system32 and
WINDOWS\system32\dllcache folders. Show hidden files, folders, and
system files: http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html

Locate and the right click it, choose Properties, then click the Version
tab. It should be version 6.0.2900.2180 for SP2. You can scan the file
he http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner
Try the Kaspersky File Scanner to check the file out. It may be a False
Positive from McAfee. If that's the case, contact them.
If it is infected, then seek help at a reputable forum :

Default Script Error from Control Panel User Accounts

Thank you for the help. It looks to be a false positive from McAfee.
I closed down every aspect of McAfee I could find then rebooted. The
next attempt to open User Accounts worked just fine.
