Default 98 use to xp use

I am going to purchase a new computer for our second home.
My home computer is Windows 98 and the new computer will
be XP.

Will I have any program problems if I input data on the XP
and then take it to the 98 and transfer the information
via disk?

No, provided:
Both computers have programs compatible with the data files you want to
transfer.
If you copy the data files to the Windows 98 hard drive before opening.
If you using a CD-R to transfer the data files, you remove the Read only
attribute after you copy the data files to the hard drive.

If you want to go the other way and your Windows 98 computer uses Direct CD
to copy the files to the CD, use the Direct CD option to close the CD so as
be readable on any computer.
