New hardware found - printer
I have 2 printers on my computer that are working fine. A
brother MFC4600 and Epson Stylus Color 600. Since installing Windows XP, I keep getting new hardware found at startup. I go through the steps and then it tells me the hardware could not be found/installed. I understand that I may still have the old Win98 drivers on my computer. How do I find the old drivers and how do I tell the old ones from the new ones? This new hardware found message is becoming annoying. Thanks. |

New hardware found - printer
See the thread by Jackals on 4/21 or 4/27 in this newsgroup (MSKB says
delete HKEY, but...) I had the same problem and this thread includes the fix process from my research, and MVP answers to my questions. Jack "Rodney" wrote in message ... Also--get the driver from the Epson webpage (the staus monitor requires a
separate download). Jack "Rodney" wrote in message ... I have 2 printers on my computer that are working fine. A brother MFC4600 and Epson Stylus Color 600.
