Default Missing check box

yes the printer is shared i can make the connection to
and print but if pc reboots it loses connection to
printer over the network. the check box is what makes it
a persistant connection at boot. any ideas ?

That sounds just like their tech support, format the

hard
drive. It's basically because they don't have a clue.

Is
the printer shared out on the other computer? You
shouldn't have to make a connection to it each time if

it
is shared.

i have a problem with windows xo home edition. when i

go
accross a network to connect to a printer connected to
another pc it asks for user name and password. i enter
all the correct info and see the printer. but the check
box to make this a permanent connection is missing. i
have called dell to see if they had a solution. there
briliant idea was to format drive and reinstall os. is
there a simpler way that that?
