Default virus fix or number

I believe that I have a virus on my computer that has
taken my pci.sys startup file. I have tried to start the
computer using the windows disk, but it says that it has
no boot file and goes back to the missing pci.sys
screen. The screen periodically shakes and flashes
during this process. I have tried calling the 866-
pcsafety number, but it just keeps ringing and ringing.
Any help or different numbers would be great......

it seems that your boot sector is infected. do you have ur virus scanner software on CD. most of them are bootable and allow you to boot up so that the virus can be cleaned from the boot sector.

Read your antivirus documentation for more details how to do that.
