Default Need help configuring font sizes

I am using WXP Pro (SP1).

I had to set my screen resolution (ControlPanelDisplay) to 1024X768
to satisfy requirement of a piece of software I installed.

The result produced very small icons and texts in the desktop as well
as various popup windows. With my tired eyes, I have trouble reading
the screen now.

I have been able to increase most sizes (eg desktop icons, icon
labels, several popup windows and the buttons therein). However,
there are still some that are ridiculously small. For example, the
'recycle bin' popup window containing the header 'Confirm Multiple
File Delete' and the content 'Are you sure you want to delete these
files?' and the 'yes' & 'no' buttons. There are other popup windows
that are similarly unreadable.

I can find no way to increase these items, and I have looked hard.
Can someone give me some direction as to where to go to make these
changes and exactly what to do?

Thanks
