Outlook Won't Use the Default Browser

I have Windows XP Home Edition, and I have installed Mozilla Firefox and
elected it to be my default browser. However, when I use Outlook to read my
email and I open a link in an email, the browser which starts up is Internet
Explorer, not Firefox.

I have tried multiple times and in several ways to change this behavior but
without success. Is there somewhere else I need to change to get the
behavior I want?
