Default Network Cable Unplugged?

My local area network icon shows that the cable is unplugged. It seems very well
plugged into me. My last network connection with it was within 24 hours. The other
end of the cable is to another PC with Win 2000 about 100 feet away.

Well, so much for that problem. I found an intermediate cable in the other room had
disconnected.

So you solved your problem? Always Netowrk Cable unplugged does not mean that
it is unpluged; maybe your NIC card is not working. But I am glad you figure
that one cable is disconnected. Someone who is dumb must have done that to
see how you smart of troubleshooting.
