Default Manually Remove Network Devices -- Please help...

I have the following problem:
- the LAN connection is missing in network connections(but it WAS configured).
- the network adapter is missing (but it IS installed) in Device Manager.
- when I do a network diagnostic test, it gives me 2 entries:

[00000003] Realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC
[00000012] Realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC

When I follow the steps in KB#269155 (set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1)
the devices still do not appear!

How can I manually uninstall both drivers?? (the actual files, and not via
Device Manager...)

Thanks in advance..
