Default temp

I was checking my computer for viruses, I noticed that in my document,
in the Temp Internet File directory
was huge, its size was listed as 3.63GIGS with 175,000 files.Two
question A is this normal and B: can I delete
all the files in this directory? OS is XP pro and I use IE and
netscape 7.2 Thanks

Its normal if you have it setup that way, and yes you can delete the temp
dir contents when ever you want.

Add-on -

Any file in Temp ot Temp Internet files can be deleted
If any are still in use, XP will not allow you to delete them
Do you ever go to Window Explorer on your main drive, (rt-click) /
Properties / Disk Cleanup, which helps clean out most of the garbage.
If not, make that a habit!

Do diskcleanup regularly. No, it is not normal to have 175,000 temp files.
